This paper presents the Geotechnical Centrifuge facility installed at the Laboratory of Civil Engineering that belongs to the State University of Norte Fluminense (UENF), in Campos, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In order to enable the carrying out of several kinds of tests, a dedicated facility was then established. Developments introduced in this paper include the wireless data acquisition, several miniature instruments (displacement transducers, load cell, accelerometers, actuators and vane test), the MTS hydraulic pump unity, the consolidometer and a high speed camera. Nowadays, the UENF centrifuge is being prepared to carry out tests to investigate special anchoring systems for offshore structures, precisely the suction and torpedo piles and buried flexible pipes.
